Taxonomy Identification: Pieridae, Named by Stoll in 1790

Colour: Yellow with black borders and black spot on forewing.

Size: Wingspan 45-55mm

Comments & Applications: The topside of this butterfly resembles a dogface pattern, hence its common name the dogface butterfly. Found throughout North and South America, examples from Mexico are seldom offered. A favourite with collectors and framers due to the butterflies curious features.

Format: Unmounted, papered, wings folded, requires relaxing and setting
