Taxonomy Identification: Family Noctuidae. First named by Rambur in 1833
Colour: Forewing pale brown with darker outer edge. Hind wings ivory with dark edge.
Size: Wingspan 40-47 mm
Comments & Applications: A very local species, occurring only in a few scattered localities in the south of England, mainly in chalk or limestone districts.
