Taxonomy Identification: Family Limacodidae. First named by Hufnagel in 1766
Colour: Forewing a golden brown with fine lines. Hind-wings darker brown.
Size: Wingspan 24-28 mm
Comments & Applications: A scarce species restricted to the southern counties of England, mainly from Dorset eastwards to Kent. Inhabits mature woodlands.
