Colour: Forewings grey with black bar, dashes and marginal spots; hindwings pale with black border
Size: Wingspan 34-40 mm
Comments & Applications: A scarce and locally distributed species restricted to the south-east and central southern coasts of England, where it frequents mainly shingle beaches. Only resident since the 1950’s. A lovely species for your Entomological reference collection; also useful for education, film, media, artistry and interior design
