Taxonomy Identification: Family Euchiridae, first named by Pouillaude in 1913
Colour: Base black with orangish spots and markings. Prothorax a coppery bronze depending on how the light catches the beetle.
Size: Length of beetle measuring from tip of head/jaw to the end of abdomen 50-60+mm (excludes legs and antenna). Males have huge front legs up to 70+mm long.
