Taxonomy Identification: Family Buprestidae, first named by Kurosawa in 1983

Colour: Green with dark reddish brown legs and deep ridges on the elytra.

Size: Length measuring from the tip of head/jaws to end of abdomen but excluding legs: 35-50mm

Comments & Applications: This is an average sized species with attractive dark green colouration. Very popular with the trade for use in framing, domes, artwork, photography, interior design and film.
