Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae. Named by Cramer in 1777
Colour: Colouration topside (recto) orange-brown with black markings. The underside (verso) hind-wings are a mixture of browns.
Size: Wingspan 60-70mm
Comments & Applications: A leaf-like butterfly from the oriental region. Commonly called the autumn leaf butterfly because of its shape and colouration. Not often offered for sale, collectable and ideal for trade applications creating unique one off pieces.
