Taxonomy Identification: Family Noctuidae » Acontiinae. First named by Scopoli in 1763

Colour: Forewing sulphur-yellow with dark brown spots and lines. Hind-wings grey.

Size: Wingspan 18-20 mm

Comments & Applications:  Formerly resident in the Breckland district of East Anglia, now extinct in the UK, last recorded in the 1960’s. This is a very rare opportunity to own a genuine English specimen from 1905. A piece of entomological history!
