Taxonomy Identification: Family Geometridae. First named by Fabricius 1785
Colour: Forewings ochrae with dark brown bar and fine cream lines. Hindwings pale with darker line, dotted margin.
Size: Wingspan 26-33 mm
Comments & Applications: A scarce and local species, isolated to fenland areas of Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire and East Anglia with a northern colony in the wetlands of Yorkshire. A very attractive sought after moth and a nice addition for your Entomological reference collection; ideal for education, scientific projects or art, photography.
