Taxonomy Identification: Family Noctuidae. First named by Denis & Schiffermüller in 1775.
Colour: Forewings dark yellow, thickly irrorated with orange red and thin dark lines. Hind-wings white.
Size: Wingspan 29-34 mm
Comments & Applications: A scarce British species isolated to mature Oak forests in southern England and Wales. Antique examples. Seldom offered for sale, a connoisseur species.
