Description

Taxonomy Identification: Family Noctuidae. First named by Hübner in 1803.

Colour: Forewings grey-brown with black irroration; and a black streak with small round white spot. Hindwings dusky white with blackish margin.

Size: Wingspan 33-39 mm

Comments & Applications:  A scarce species, with a scattered distribution mainly coastal regions in the south-western region of England and south Wales. Seldom offered for sale, a connoisseur species.
