Taxonomy Identification: Family Noctuidae > Eustrotiinae. First named by Hufnagel, in 1766
Colour: Forewings brown with marbled patterns, darker lines and patch. At the forewing tip is a white patch. Hind-wings vary are a pale grey.
Size: Wingspan 20-22 mm
Comments & Applications: A scarce and isolated moth restricted to parts of southern England and Wales. Frequenting acid heaths and damp woodland habitats.
