Taxonomy Identification: Family, Papilionidae, First named by Cramer in 1775
Colour: The colour of the Male topside (recto) wings is black with wide yellow bar running diagonal across all four wings with delicate black tails on the hind wings. The underside (verso) is similar but paler with additional blue and red markings. The sexually dimorphic Female (topside) has black forewings with pale yellow patch and blue and black hindwings.
Size: Wingspan 100-130mm
