Taxonomy Identification: Family Geometridae. First named by Retzius in 1783
Colour: Forewings lined in pale greyish-brown and cream-white bars and black dot. Hindwings pale grey with whiteish line/bar
Size: Wingspan 19-24 mm
Comments & Applications: Limited to south and east England, with some scattered colonies elsewhere. Inhabiting woodland, hedgerows, fens and marshy places. A nice addition for your Entomological reference collection; ideal for education, film, media, artistry and interior design
