Colour: The head and thorax body are coloured black, while the legs and abdomen are brown.
Size: Length 25-30mm
Comments & Applications: This is one of the world’s largest species of ant, with huge head and jaws, hence its common name the soldier ant. Ants make for an unusual taxidermy project. Ideal for close up photography and much used in in framing domes, artwork, interior design and film
