Description
Taxonomy Identification: Family Sphingidae. First named by Linnaeus in 1758

Size: Wingspan 66-85mm
Comments & Applications: A fairly nondescript greyish member of the hawk-moth family, this species is restricted in Britain to the south and east, but it is quite common in continental Europe. Despite the duller appearance this remains a popular species with entomologists and reference collectors. Ideal for applications in the art and interior design industry.
