Taxonomy Identification: Family Geometridae. First named by Schmidt in 1931
Colour: Overall colour pale brown with blood red line and pinkish margin.
Size: Wingspan 23-28 mm
Comments & Applications: Distributed widely over the British Isles but most frequent in the South. Commonly called the blood-vein from the deep blood red line on the wings. A nice addition for your Entomological reference collection; ideal for education, film, media, artistry and interior design.
