Taxonomy Identification: Family Nymphalidae, First named by Latreille in 1813
Colour: Topside (recto) wings brown with orange bar on the forewing, the hind-wing has a purple patch and pale orange margin. The underside (verso) is sandy-brown with darker lines and dashes of brown and cream.
Size: Wingspan 45-55mm
