Taxonomy Identification: Family Geometridae. First named by Denis & Schiffermüller in 1775
Colour: Forewings silvery white with broad brown bar. Hindwings lined grey and white.
Size: Wingspan 24-28 mm
Comments & Applications: A widespread species, but sadly declining over recent years, inhabiting woodland and clearings with low vegetation. A attractive moth and a nice addition for your Entomological reference collection; ideal for education, scientific projects or art, photography.
