Taxonomy Identification: Family Erebidae. First named by Linnaeus in 1758

Colour: Forewings silvery white with golden yellow edges and twin black spots (absent in some examples). Hind-wings sooty coloured with golden yellow edge.

Size: Wingspan 25-33 mm
