Taxonomy Identification: Family Erebidae » Arctiinae. First named by Clerck in 1759
Colour: Distinct sexual dimorphism , the males are usually soft greyish-brown, but can also be coloured white or buff. The females vary in colour from whiteish yellow to satin white. Both sexes with sparsely speckled black spots.
Size: Wingspan 28-38 mm
Comments & Applications: An attractive species highlighting extreme sexual dimorphism. Widespread and common species.
